All of our items are Guaranteed to be Genuine and of the Period Stated.
We guarantee all items to be genuine and of the period stated; our guarantee has no time limit. We do our best to accurately describe each item and to ensure that our photographs show each item from all angles. With more than 40 years experience dealing in Asian Art & Antiques with retail premises here in Brighton we are pleased to offer our customers this guarantee without time limit. A genuine antique is, of course, genuine for all time and not just for ten days or a month and so sellers not offering such a guarantee as ours should possibly be avoided. We do not sell for other dealers; we sell only our own stock.
Full payment options and instructions will be emailed to you upon receipt of an order.
transactions totaling less than GBP 2,000, at our discretion,
we accept direct payment by
credit and debit card (Visa/MasterCard/Switch/Maestro/Solo/Amex). Your
card details can be sent to us in total confidence using our secure
server, the link to which will be emailed to you upon receipt of an order.
For transactions totaling GBP 2,000 or more please see "Other payment methods" below.
Important for American Express cardholders: because Amex charge us around double the commission of other cards (Visa/MasterCard) we must add a surcharge of 1.5% to the overall cost if payment is made by Amex.
No surcharge is added for payment by any other card that we accept.
payment by Paypal; as a well-established legitimate business with our
own card processing facilities we accept direct payment by credit or debit card without the need to use
Paypal or other expensive internet payment intermediaries.
You are, therefore, automatically entitled to the full purchase protection given by your credit card issuer, not the limited protection offered by such internet payment intermediaries where you are paying only for the money transfer, not for the actual item which is why their protection is limited.

Cheque (known UK customers only, and time must be given for the cheque to clear).
Wire / telegraphic bank transfer (overseas customers).
Western Union money transfer (NOT money order).
Cash (paid in person at our gallery).
As we are in the U.K. payments can only be accepted in Sterling (GBP).

restrictions in force in other countries so overseas buyers should always ensure,
prior to purchase from us, that there will be no problems with importing any items bought from
us. Any loss caused by import/customs delays, restrictions or even
confiscation cannot be our responsibility and, of course, cannot be covered
by our insurance.
usually use the Royal Mail for inland and overseas shipping, and can use any
of their express or guaranteed services if required. FedEx delivery or
similar can also be arranged.
U.K. Post Office charges by weight for its standard services, not by volume, making shipping from the
U.K. cheaper than from some countries.
multiple purchases are packed together to minimise shipping costs.
Estimates of shipping costs can be quoted at any time.
This is optional and is charged at 2% of the
total cost with no minimum charge.
The insurance cost is automatically added to the total amount due unless we are advised that insurance is not required.
Note: for unusually large and/or fragile items we may be unable to offer our own packing and shipping service in which case we shall ask you to instruct an independent shipper to collect, pack and ship the item. For some such items we may still be able to pack and ship the item ourselves but would not be able to offer insurance cover.
